A Small Burger Place With Big Possibilities

By Guadalupe Perez-Mata, Skyline Social Media Manager

ALPINE- Towards the end of July, the new food stop, Bock Burger, made its grand debut. Opening its doors Mondays and Tuesdays from 11a.m. to 11p.m., which makes it accessible for students on those late nights. Many places in Alpine, Texas, are not even open Mondays and Tuesdays! Clearly these food lovers saw a gap in the market.

The menu is simple – a single cheeseburger priced at $10, a grilled cheese priced at $9, and a double cheeseburger priced at $12. All options come with a different sort of cheese. One week it would be Gouda, Jalapeño Cheddar, or Sharp Shooter Cheddar.

But the boldest move they made was pairing your burger with a basic side salad! The refreshing and wholesome salad is paired with a tasty balsamic vinaigrette or Crème Fraîche Ranch.

This delicious burger also has the softest sourdough bread that this writer has ever tasted. The cheese brings the whole burger together, and get this, it’s local! Their menu claims to use organic Texas stone-ground wheats for their sourdough breads and rolls as well as local pasture-raised, grass-fed beef.

Bock Burger has also started serving on some Sundays. Follow them on Facebook for updated hours and menu. This place has caught my attention with their simple menu and big take on delicious flavors that make my mouth water just thinking about them. Their shop is located at 601 East Ave. E, Alpine, Texas.

Don’t miss out on local cuisine – have a Bock Burger!
