ALPINE – A recent altercation between the assistant women’s soccer coach and a football player resulted in both of them leaving Sul Ross State University, according to accounts from several university officials and students.

The argument led to allegations that Dunn choked Guillen. Officials and students said Guillen and Dunn were close friends and seemed to have been consuming alcohol.
Dunn left school on his own accord expelled and Guillen resigned her position.
Guillen attended Sul Ross from 2018-2022, after which she helped coach the women’s soccer team. Cordrick Dunn was a senior running back on the Lobos football team.
Other than to confirm the resignation of Guillen and departure expulsion of Dunn, University officials said they could not comment further on personnel matters.
